About Meadow Wood
Meadow Wood Pet Cemetery in Devon is an independent family-run business started by Eric and Tessa Drake in 1990. Now owned by their daughter Julie and husband Stephen. Meadow Wood offers a caring and affordable service to bereaved pet owners and a large number of veterinary practices throughout the South West.
We understand that a pet holds a special significance in all our lives. Their passing should be one of meaning, and handled with dignity and respect at every stage.
Our service prides itself on supporting you at every step of the journey with care and sensitivity.
Our Garden of Remembrance & Natural Woodland Cemetery are open every day of the year, except in adverse weather conditions and high wind. Our experienced and thoughtful staff are on hand to guide you through the process, answering questions, and providing assistance with your special requests
Nestled in the beautiful Devon countryside lies our Meadow,
split between the Garden of Remembrance and Natural Woodland Cemetery.
Pets Garden of Remembrance
An established final resting place for many devoted pets, situated in a wooded, peaceful copse, with natural pathways guiding you through lovingly cared-for graves.
Natural Woodland Cemetery
The natural woodland burial ground runs alongside the Pets Garden of Remembrance. Offering an equally peaceful site with open countryside views all around. This area has been created as a final resting place for pets and owners’ ashes.
Meet the Team
Our small dedicated team is on hand five days a week (please see our opening hours) to handle your individual needs and wishes.
With over 50 years of combined experience, the Meadow Wood team is comprised of Zoe, General Manager and Caroline, Administrator who share the office duties. Steve is our Operations Manager whilst Rob and Caroline look after our weekly veterinary practice collections.
